Arsenal has launched an official account on social media platform TikTok. The club aims to use TikTok to target a new audience and younger demographic with “exclusive access to first-team stars, behind-the-scenes content, current trends, challenges and exclusive mini-series.”

Arsenal has 70+ million followers across Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Twitter. It also recently launched on Chinese social app Douyin.

Chris Harris, managing editor at Arsenal Digital, said: “We’re really excited about launching on TikTok and getting creative with our fans on the platform. It’s a great opportunity to reach a new and younger audience and, with our fans hungry for interaction and entertainment in these unprecedented times, we feel it’s a good time to get started.”

“We’ve been encouraged by our players’ enthusiasm to get involved, and with their help we’re creating content that really embraces the unique nature of TikTok. We hope our fans have fun watching and engaging with the @Arsenal channel while they stay at home to save lives.”
