The organiser of the tournament, e|motion group, has ensured social distancing measures for the event, in coordination with local health authorities. Spectator numbers are limited to 800 at the Steffi Graf Center Court, which has a regular capacity of 4,000 seats; and 200 at Tempelhof Airport.

All players and staff will be tested for Covid-19 on arrival, and anyone entering either site will be temperature checked, while spectators will be ‘urged’ to wear facemasks when not in their seats.

Andrew Georgiou, president, Eurosport and global sports rights and sports marketing solutions, said: “We look forward to continuing to reward our fans with exclusive tennis content as we build towards back-to-back Grand Slams as part of unbeatable second half of the year.”

Edwin Weindorfer, organiser of bett1ACES and CEO of the e|motion group, added: “We are looking forward to present the bett1ACES tennis event with a state-of-the art broadcast product with some novelties such as the integration of a drone and the HawkEye Live technology for line calling at both tournaments.”
