It will be the first time that the horse racing event is on a number of major networks
HBA Media will distribute an the Lexus Melbourne Cup across all continents, with it appearing on a number of major networks for the first time on 3 November.
Eurosport India (India), Supersport (Africa), Polsat (Poland), Movistar (Spain), Sport Deutschland (Germany) and beIN SPORTS (Turkey) are among those to show the Australian horse racing event for the first time.
In the UK and Ireland, Sky Sports will be showing the race. Match TV (Russia), Silknet (Georgia) and Equidia (France), add to the channels airing it across Europe.
In addition, DMI (Dubai) and ADM (Abu Dhabi), ESPN Latin-America (Latam and Caribbean), SportsMax (Caribbean), Wuhan TV/Shanghai TV/Beijing TV (China) and Fiji TV (Fiji) help to bring the global territories to over 120.
For the first time, a one-hour preview programme will also be distributed to broadcasters – in an attempt to grow the footprint of the event.
