It will feature exclusive close-up looks at the making of the event

The SBD World’s Strongest Man is offering fans the chance to pay for exclusive behind-the-scenes footage through Facebook.

Premiering on 10 November, World’s Strongest Man: Live from Bradenton will include close-up looks at the making of the event. The episodes will stream every day at 8.30pm GMT and share in-depth interviews with athletes and legends of the sport as well as daily event recaps featuring results and current standings.

Fans can pay $1.99 (£1.53) through Facebook’s Paid Online Events feature for the week’s coverage – which is available on the World’s Strongest Man: Live from Bradenton Facebook page.

Former Barbend.com editor Nick English will host the programmes, which start the day before the competition gets going. First up is a look at the boneyard – where all the events and challenges are prepared by Gregor Edmunds and his team.

Once the competition begins, athlete arrivals, previews, recaps, and post-event interviews will be included in the content.

This year the World’s Strongest Man competition is taking place on Anna Maria island in Florida, USA. It has a new format, which encompasses a four-day event split into two days of qualifiers and a two-day final.

Television coverage will be broadcast to over 70 different territories, totallying almost 500 million households. In the UK, it will air on Channel 5 from 26 December, while US coverage will be on CBS Sports Network and CBS – also in December.
