90-minute daily live and on-demand show includes quizzes and polls.

Eurosport has unveiled a 90-minute live and on-demand interactive daily show re-running the most memorable stages of Giro d’Italia from the last seven years.

As part of a collaboration with Global Cycling Network (GCN), Eurosport is launching Giro d’Italia Classic Stages on Saturday 9 May at 15:30 CEST, which is the original start date of this year’s postponed Giro d’Italia.

The series will air for 21 days in May and feature the best stages from recent memory as chosen by a panel of experts from GCN.

It will be available to watch across all Eurosport platforms (linear and digital) and live and interactive via the GCN app.
Each episode will include new analysis from Dan Lloyd.

GCN channels receive around 48m views per month across all platforms and engage a community of 10m monthly users. The interactive elements of Giro d’Italia Classic Stages include a chance to take part in a selection of quizzes and polls.

Andrew Georgiou, president, Eurosport and global sports rights and sports marketing solutions, said: “We can tell the full story from every stage with a depth and level detail like never before, working creatively to go beyond the archive and complement highlights with unique insights from our experts using ground-breaking immersive technology.”

Dan Lloyd, director of racing at GCN, added: “I am really missing my usual race fix and this gives me the perfect opportunity to revisit some of my best memories of the Giro d’Italia and relive them with our fantastic community of cycling fans.”
