The company helped to produce the football team’s esports experience in the charity event

Grabyo and Inter Miami CF partnered to remotely broadcast an esports competition for Twitch’s Stream Aid 2020.

The company supplied its cloud-based remote production platform, Grabyo Producer, to the club so that players Julián Carranza, Lewis Morgan, Lee Nguyen, and Rodolfo Pizarro were able to participate in a 70-minute broadcast for the event. In addition, Grabyo technology was used to take clips of the action that were shared across social media.

Stream Aid 2020 brought gaming, music, and sport together to raise funds for the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund during the coronavirus pandemic in a 12-hour event on 28 March.

Fernando Palomo, the voice of EA Sports’ FIFA game and ESPN analyst, narrated the action, as the Inter Miami players appeared in video feeds from their homes. Meanwhile, graphics and animations promoted donating to the cause.

The tournament involved individual match-ups as Carranza and Pizarro joined as Team RosaNegra and Morgan and Nguyen as Team Heron White. Pizarro was eventually crowned champion.

Jean Manuel Jiminez, VP of content, digital & broadcast at Inter Miami CF said: “We are delighted Inter Miami CF was able to participate in Twitch Stream Aid. Despite practicing social distancing, partnering with Grabyo enabled us to produce a professional, high quality Twitch broadcast with our players from the safety of their homes.”

Grabyo President Americas, Mike Kelley, added: “We are pleased to have played a part in ensuring Inter Miami could participate in Stream Aid 2020 on Twitch.”

“At this difficult time, there is an increased reliance on distributed video workflows; there is a real need to ensure teams, leagues, and broadcasters can continue to deliver high-quality content both live and real-time to digital audiences.”
