It joins a number of companies pulling out due to the coronavirus outbreak

Live broadcasting technology company EVS has announced that it is pulling out of the NAB Show 2020.

The decision has come as a precautionary measure due to the coronavirus pandemic.

While the outfit – which largely operates in sports broadcasting technology – has cut its physical presence, it is working on a plan to introduce new products and solutions as well as remain in touch with the NAB community.

CEO at EVS, Serge Van Herck said: “NAB is a key milestone for us every year. We take pride in showcasing our new solutions there and meeting up with our customers, partners and prospects, so it has been a very tough decision to make.”

“While we are now seeing some positive signals coming from Asia, it is clear that the situation in other parts of the world is not yet under control. I strongly believe we should keep on the safe side during these uncertain times. As always, our primary responsibility is the health of our teams, business partners and their families.”

EVS joins a number of other companies to have pulled out of the NAB conference, including Red Bee, Nikon, Adobe, and others.
