It’s using cloud-based editing and publishing platform Blackbird.
Liverpool FC is using remote video editing and publishing platform Blackbird to repurpose content from its archive, to provide fans with rarely seen clips during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The archive content will be published on the Liverpool FC website and social platforms including Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram, which combined have 80+ million followers.
Blackbird provides the production team at Liverpool FC, working remotely, with a browser-based editor and publishing functions, that Blackbird says works fine even at low bandwidth. The Blackbird service for Liverpool FC is being run via Amazon Web Services.
Blackbird CEO, Ian McDonough, said: “As a lifelong Liverpool fan I am genuinely delighted to work with the club and enable remote video production. The Liverpool FC digital media team will be able to access their centrally stored file-based archives from any browser or laptop and continue to engage their global fanbase, whether they will be watching their heroes on TV, web or social media.”
