Spanish football league is rolling out new programming to its domestic and international audience.
LaLiga is creating three new programmes to enable fans to get closer to LaLiga stars. The shows – LaLiga StayAtHome, LaLiga Clubs and LaLiga Nations – will air on LaLiga’s national and international broadcasters, including LaLigaTV.
LaLiga StayAtHome is a 30-minute weekly show featuring the league’s footballers filming themselves at home so fans can see how they are living through the lockdown.
The players will show their fitness routines, the dietary guidelines they are following and their favourite hobbies and interests.
LaLiga Nations is 10 weekly episodes showcasing the value of the different nationalities that have “graced the league during the past”, including Argentina, the UK and Brazil.
Finally, LaLiga Clubs is a fortnightly segment looking at the connection between Spanish cities and the LaLiga teams playing there.
Melcior Soler, director of LaLiga’s audiovisual department, said: “LaLiga’s international broadcasters are looking to offer football fans different forms of entertainment during this quarantine period. Through our work together with the clubs and the players, fans will be able to get closer to their idols despite the ongoing postponement of the competition.”
