All the games that were planned for pay-per-view will now be distributed between Sky Sports, BT Sport, Amazon Prime and BBC Sport.
The Premier League has scrapped its controversial move to pay-per-view. In a statement, it said, from Saturday 21 November and throughout Christmas and the new year period, “all fixtures will be made available to fans to watch live in the UK.”
This will be done the same way it was doing before it brought in the Box Office games, by making the games that aren’t part of Sky Sports and BT Sport’s rights deals available through all Premier League’s broadcast partners – Sky Sports, BT Sport, Amazon Prime and BBC Sport.
The Premier League statement said: “These plans have been made with the cooperation of our broadcast partners, working with us to deliver these additional matches while stadiums are missing the supporters who are such an integral part of the game. December and January selections will follow in due course alongside our usual UK live matches.”
The organisation added that the agreement will be reviewed in the new year, in line with any decisions made by Government regarding the return of spectators to stadiums.
