The events make use of LiveLike’s Watch Together platform.
LaLiga is launching a series of five watch parties, each hosted by a LaLiga legend. The first of these will be during the El Clasico on 25 October, when a ‘select group’ of fans will be invited to join.
The watch together experience is being enabled by LiveLike, and features video Q&As with former LaLiga players before and after the game and at halftime, as well as a live-synced chat room during the game.
Former LaLiga players participating in the watch parties include Diego Forlán, Fernando Morientes, Samuel Eto’o, Fernando Redondo and Kanouté.
LaLiga North America CEO Boris Gartner said: “We are always looking for new and innovative ways to engage with our fans and bring LaLiga, its clubs and players closer to them. This partnership provides our fans a unique experience of watching LaLiga’s biggest matches with former LaLiga players and legends, and other fans who share the same passion for football.”
