Monster Energy is sponsoring the two new programmes

IMG has launched two new shows for rallycross and speedway fans, RX Aftertrack, and Talking Dirt.

Sponsored by Monster Energy, the programmes will be broadcast through the series’ Facebook and YouTube channels on FIA World Rallycross (World RX) and FIM Speedway Grand Prix (SGP) 2020 Championship weekends.

Both programmes aim to show racing, technical insights, interviews, sketches and reaction, as well as rallycross and speedway news from around the world. In addition, there will be exclusive behind-the-scenes footage and discussions with other sports, and competitions to win exclusive World RX, SGP and Monster Energy prizes.

RX Aftertrack premieres this weekend during the season-opening Swecon World RX of Sweden on Sunday 23 August at 7pm in the UK. It will feature former skateboarder and well-known stunt performer Matthew Pritchard as presenter, with further insights from World RX pit reporter Neil Cole.

Meanwhile, Talking Dirt gets started at the Betard Wroclaw FIM Speedway Grand Prix of Poland on the weekend of the 28 August, and will be hosted by SGP commentating duo Nigel Pearson and Kelvin Tatum. Reporter Kiri Bloore will also add her views. As well as the regular race weekend schedule, there will also be a special show for the Monster Energy Speedway of Nations Final. Held in Manchester on 25 October, the event sees the top seven nations from 2019 go head to head for the 2020 title.

Senior vice president of motorsports events at IMG, Paul Bellamy, said: “The shows have been designed to take fans beyond the live racing and focus on the two sports, key players behind them, the challenges they face and how inspiration can be drawn from other sports.

“In a year where travel, event crowds and live activations are limited, RX Aftertrack and Talking Dirt provide the perfect vehicles for the series’ partners to engage with rallycross and speedway fans around the world.”
