Quick turnaround content will be streamed on its digital and social outlets, and distributed internally for re-purposing.
The National Hockey League (NHL) is remotely producing live and behind-the-scenes content as it returns to live sport, using cloud video editing platform Blackbird.
For the NHL’s 2020 Stanley Cup Qualifiers and 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs, the NHL will use Blackbird to turnaround content quickly for its digital and social outlets, as well as internally, to its production staff, NHL teams, and media partners for re-purposing.
Blackbird CEO, Ian McDonough, said: “Engaging hockey fans with a combination of live action, behind-the-scenes and rink-side footage is all important in this full contact, all action, no holds barred sport. Blackbird’s speed and remote capabilities allow all this to be done as well as keeping production crews safe and socially distanced.”
