Design studio Jump has updated the opening title sequence for the Champions Hockey League 2020/2021 season.
The updated titles were commissioned by sports marketing agency Infront and bring the style in line with the broadcast graphics package rolled out by the Champions Hockey League three years ago. These were also designed by Jump.
Jump art director Lee Jacobs, said: “With this sequence we offered a more dynamic, graphic approach to tie in more tightly with the new brand and match graphics. This will allow us to generate multiple sequences for the Champions Hockey League throughout the season, creating bespoke draw, group stage and playoff versions to keep the gameplay footage fresh and relevant to the competition.”
Jump senior production manager Hannah Nicholls, adds: “We had already been commissioned on the project before the Covid-19 lockdown occurred. We have had full access to the company servers while working remotely, including access to all of the footage that was already being collated for the sequence. We were also very careful to make sure all the previous work projects from 2017 were unarchived and on the server before we locked up the office to work remotely.”
Uzi Kakuda, head of TV production, Champions Hockey League, said: “Both Infront and Champions Hockey League are absolutely delighted with the new sequence. The collaboration and development process remained unfettered by the effects of the lockdown. and it was clear Jump’s preparatory work and technical infrastructure ensured a smooth workflow throughout.”
