Cloud-based video specialist M2A Media has launched a new live video cloud distribution platform it describes as “a flexible and cost-effective alternative to satellite and fibre.”

M2A Connect enables producers to schedule and automate the global delivery of live feeds, via a “user-friendly” console and API. It also offers subscription management, monitoring and reporting.

It is also available as a managed service, with 24/7 support.

The service uses AWS Elemental live video services from Amazon Web Services (AWS).

M2A CEO Marina Kalkanis, said: “IP over cloud is the future of live video distribution between rights owners and broadcasters and we are hugely excited to be launching this new game-changing product, leveraging AWS Elemental.
