Broadcaster brings back ‘retro’ version of the UEFA Champions League Goals Show.
BT Sport has recreated what it says is one of its most popular shows by creating the UEFA Champions League Goals Show: Retro.
Beginning on Sunday (17 May), James Richardson takes a look back at the most iconic Champions League games from the archives.
He’s joined by Raphael Honigstein, James Horncastle and Julien Laurens, with the team choosing their greatest moments and favourite players, and bringing fans never-before-seen stories, along with fresh insight.
The show kicks off at 7:15pm on Sunday, on BT Sport 1. To mark the return of Bundesliga the retro show returns to 1997 when Paul Lambert and Borussia Dortmund beat a star-studded Juventus side, featuring the likes of Zinedine Zidane, Didier Deschamps and Christian Vieri, to lift the Champions League trophy.
The series continues on Monday 18 May at 6:15pm on BT Sport 1 with a different classic game – this time, a look at how Louis Van Gaal’s Ajax team stormed to a 5-2 victory over Bayern Munich in the semi finals.
