The new Matchroom Live platform will provide both live streams of tournaments (to subscribers) and free archive sports content.
Matchroom Sport has teamed up with sports streaming specialist StreamAMG to create new OTT platform, Matchroom Live, which provides fans worldwide access to its portfolio of events.
Matchroom Live will host live streams of Matchroom Sports events through a subscription package and pay-per-view options in territories where there are currently no broadcast rights holders.
Live tournaments on Matchroom Live will include the World Darts Championship and Premier League Darts, Pool’s Mosconi Cup and World Pool Championship, plus the World Snooker Championship and the remainder of Matchroom Sport’s catalogue of live events.
Additionally, Matchroom Live will offer a range of Matchroom archive sports content, including boxing, darts and snooker, which will all be available for free.
Matchroom says it will be continue to add more and more archive footage following the platform’s launch.
