Archive material to be aired by BT Sport in a new live show format, preceded by highlights from classic European finals

BT Sport is re-running key UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League moments for British clubs through two new productions.

The first new series – Throwbacks, on BT Sport 2 – is focused on last year’s competitions, revisiting “possibly the greatest season British clubs have had in Europe”.

Throwbacks will be broadcast every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and presented live by the BT Sport team across the next five weeks. It follows the action from the quarter finals onwards.

Throwbacks schedule
Tuesday 20:00: UEFA Champions League Throwbacks – Tottenham v Man City 2019 Quarter Final – Presented by Jake Humphrey & Rio Ferdinand
Wednesday 20:00: UEFA Champions League Throwbacks – Man Utd v Barcelona 2019 Quarter Final – Presented by Jake Humphrey & Rio Ferdinand
Thursday 20:05: UEFA Europa League Throwbacks – Arsenal v Napoli 2019 Quarter Final – Presented by Matt Smith & Robbie Savage

In addition to the action on pitch, the production features topical debate around the day’s footballing issues. Rio Ferdinand and Robbie Savage will also interact with fans on social media during the live production.

The second new production will air every night this week on BT Sport 3. This more straightforward production shows highlights from some of the greatest European finals to feature English teams from the past 20 years.
