It will also be on air in Belgium, using an innovative new platform

Eleven Sports has announced that it will broadcast the Cage Warriors 113 event for free in Italy this evening.

It will also be on air in Belgium, giving sport fans a rare opportunity to watch a live event during the raft of postponements caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

The fight is going ahead at the BEC Arena in Manchester, and numerous safety measures have been put in place to try and stop any possible spread of Covid-19. There were three separate weigh-ins with restrictions on numbers of team members to lower interaction, and all athletes were checked for symptoms.

Staff and crew members will also be checked before entering the arena on fight night, with fighters tested a second time before competing.

In Belgium, isolated fans will be able to watch the even using Eleven Sports’ watch together tool – a skype-style platform that allows supporters to watch sport and chat in a virtual living room.

The 11-fight card is headlined by UFC fighters Darren Stewart and Bartosz Fabinski, and also involves a lightweight world title fight between Mason Jones and Joe McColgan.
