Committee aims to remake the calendar to ensure completion of European football leagues in 2020.

LaLiga, the Premier League, European Club Association, UEFA and European Leagues have all confirmed they will take part in a UEFA-created committee to discuss the revised European football calendar for 2020.

LaLiga president Javier Tebas will represent the league’s interests, with the purpose of the committee being to remake the calendar for all European professional football.

The committee is made up of three members from UEFA, three from ECA and one from European Leagues, LaLiga and Premier League respectively.

The committee follows the announcement yesterday that UEFA has postponed Euro 2020, which was previously due to be played in June and July this year.

All UEFA competitions and matches for clubs and national teams for both men and women have been put on hold until further notice.
