Fans will be able to see behind-the-scenes content

MotoGP has partnered with Facebook to show content during the 2020 season.

The motorbike racing series has agreed to allow original and exclusive behind-the-scenes content from the competition to be made available worldwide on Facebook Watch. It will cover all four classes of MotoGP.

The streaming platform will host videos from three to seven minutes in length, and some will also be available on Instagram. In addition, teams and riders will be able to cross-post to other social media sites.

Managing director of MotoGP promoter Dorna Sports, Manel Arroyo, said of the announcement: “MotoGP is committed to connecting to and engaging with our fans and giving them new ways to enjoy and interact with our content, making Facebook a perfect partner for our sport. It’s also a fantastic way to connect with new audiences, showing them the best of MotoGP with exclusive, showstopping content.”

Facebook Watch has been growing its sports content recently, with MLS recently signing up to show its highlights on the platform. In addition, Watch showed two FA Cup football matches last week after betting companies dropped out of their deal to do so.
