Basketball fans will have a chance to see some action while the coronavirus pauses live games
Eleven Sports is to show NBA TV in its efforts to bring viewers content while live games are postponed.
The competition was postponed on 11 March, and it looks unlikely to come back any time soon as the coronavirus pandemic continues to spread across the USA. This has left the broadcaster with a lack of content to fill its schedule.
However, this problem may be helped by the agreement to show NBA TV. It will air on Eleven Sports 2, bringing archive footage from regular season and play-off games, analysis and basketball documentaries from midnight until noon.
From noon until midnight, the channel will then focus on a single team from the NBA, as part of its Club Day series.
Managing director of Eleven Sports Belgium & Luxembourg, and group head of acquisitions, Guillaume Collard, said: “We want to do everything we can to bring our fans the best content possible while they are stuck at home.”
“Our fans can normally enjoy live NBA action with Eleven but we hope that this 24/7 offering provides a good alternative. We would like to thank the NBA for their cooperation in making this possible.”
