The Premier League, PGA Tour, Tour de France, and more are available
NBC Sports has announced that it is offering free access to ten sports passes while live sport is postponed.
Measures to combat the spread of the coronavirus pandemic have led to the vast majority of sporting events being cancelled or suspended. This has left the broadcaster with very little to show live on its D2C platform.
As a result, NBC is allowing free access to full-event replays, classic games, tournaments, races, original programming, and more through its NBC Sports Gold platform. The offering includes advert-free and on-demand content and runs until the current postponements to sport end.
It is unknown if the broadcaster will extend the free access if the governing bodies decide to extend their postponements, as is likely if the covid-19 crisis continues as expected.
The sports involved in the deal include the Premier League until 30 April, PGA Tour, cycling including the Tour de France and Vuelta a España, and many others. Fans can find out more about gaining access here, and the full list of sports available is below this article.
NBC Sports Gold is available in the US on Apple iOS & tvOS, Android, Android TV, Amazon Fire TV, Roku, Chromecast and NBCSportsGold.com, and also on Xfinity X1 and Xfinity Flex.
This is the latest move by sport broadcasters to find new ways of attracting viewers and finding content during the coronavirus shutdowns. Also in the US, ESPN is focusing on archive footage and documentaries, while Fox Sports recently started broadcasting the Nascar esports series.

PGA Tour: Until 17 May, includes over 250 hours of content, replays of last three years’ tournaments, Return of the Roar Tiger Woods documentary, and new, weekly content from the archives

Indycar: Until 31 May, includes races, qualifying , practices, and Indy Lights from the 2019 season, replays from 2018 and 2019, as well as Off the Grid and Inside IndyCar shows

TrackPass: Until 1 May, includes full event replays of races since December launch, nearly 50 long-form Nascar documentaries, and shortly will also include replays of every AFT, IMSA WeatherTech, K&N and Modified race from the 2019 season

Snow: Until 1 May, includes full-event replays of nearly every FIS and IBU World Cup stop in 2019-20, and Full-event replays of 2019 Alpine, Biathlon, Cross-Country, Freestyle, Nordic Combined, Ski Jumping, and Snowboarding World Championships

Premier Lacrosse League: Until 9 April, includes full-event replays of every game in the league’s inaugural season, the all-star game, skills competition and 2019 draft
