Paris St. Germain and Marseille will face each other in the marquee match.
Canal+ will air the marquee Trophee des Champions in France this month, alongside Mediapro subscription service Telefoot.
The match, usually played between the winner of Ligue 1 and the Coupe de France as a season-opener much like the Community Shield in the UK, had been postponed due to scheduling issues caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
As PSG won both the league and cup last season, the game will feature cup runners-up Marseille. It will be held at Stade Bollaert-Delelis in Lens, with the pandemic also meaning that it cannot be played abroad this time round, as it sometimes is.
It is the first time since 2012 that Canal+ will show the game, with Bein Sports having held the rights between 2013 and 2020.
French football media rights are currently in the air after Mediapro missed payments in 2020, forfeiting the four seasons of rights they had bought for Telefoot.
The subscription service will soon close, and the LFP is looking for another broadcaster. French publication L’Equipe has reported that Canal+ is one of those willing to step in.
