The production and rights company will distribute the remaining games in HD and ultra-HD
Mediapro has been selected as the host broadcaster for the Champions League’s final stages.
The Spanish production and rights company covered the quarter finals, and will also be in place for the final three matches taking place this week. The competition is being played as a straight knockout tournament with all matches taking place in Lisbon, Portugal after being postponed due to the coronavirus crisis.
The world feed will be produced and distributed in high definition and ultra-high definition using four 4k outside broadcast units and one HD/3G unit. More than 200 professionals are involved, with 25 cameras used in the quarter finals before 28 and 31 are used in the semi finals and final respectively.
Two ultra-slow motion cameras, three SteadyCam RF, two remote pole cams, one 4Sky System and a drone will be used to deliver the coverage.
The semi finals get underway tomorow evening with PSG facing Red Bull Leipzig before Lyon play Bayern Munich on Wednesday. The final will be played on Sunday between the two winners. The quarter-finals saw a shock victory for Lyon over Manchester City and a last minute comeback by PSG against Atalanta among some entertaining games.
