Tailored commentary and graphics will feature on the alternative viewing options
The NBA has revealed a new betting-focused broadcast option for its NBA League Pass and NBA TV networks.
NBABet Stream, as it is called, will be available for nine matches in the rescheduled 2019/20 season. Matches are being played in a ‘bio-bubble’ in Orlando, Florida, to protect players from Covid-19.
There will be a number of unique aspects to the coverage. Alternative camera angles, and graphics based on betting odds and data will feature, as well as separate commentary and analysis from the likes of Action Network, Bleacher Report, and Yahoo Sports.
BetMGM, the NBA’s presenting partner on the project, wil suply real-time betting lines and statistics.
The first game involving the alternative viewing option was Monday’s Oklahoma City Thunder vs Denver Nuggets match up on NBA TV, with the following eight fixtures involved being split between NBA TV and the League Pass.
Games available on NBATV:
– Denver v Oklahoma City, 3 Aug
– New Orleans v Sacramento, 6 Aug
– Philadelphia v Portland, 9 Aug
– Dallas v Utah, 10 Aug
– Indiana v Houston, 12 Aug
Games available on NBA League Pass:
– Orlando v Indiana, 4 Aug
– Denver v San Antonio, 5 Aug
– Washington v New Orleans, 7 Aug
– Phoenix v Philadelphia, 11 Aug
The NBA has restarted this month after pausing for the Covid-19 crisis. First up are seeding matches that will run until 14 August, with play-in games and the play-offs then running from 15 August until 13 October at the latest.
