NBCUniversal-owned service to air 175 live matches in the Premier League 2020-21 season, and offer full match replays for all 380 games.
NBCUniversal’s streaming service Peacock has picked up live rights for the Premier League 2020-21 season in the US.
It will stream 175 live Premier League matches on the paid-for Peacock Premium strand.
Meanwhile, NBC and NBCSN will continue showing Premier League live match coverage on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app, but all Premier League content on NBC Sports Gold’s Premier League Pass will shift exclusively to Peacock Premium.
As well as live games, Peacock Premium will offer full match replays for all 380 matches on-demand.
Peacock Premium costs US$4.99 a month and, as well as the Premier League, includes live sports such as the Sunday NFL Wild Card playoff; Olympics and Paralympics coverage; US Open; US Women’s Open; and The Ryder Cup.
It will also offer a free service simply called Peacock with 7,500 hours of movies, shows, and on-demand programming across news, sports, reality and late night.
Rick Cordella, EVP and chief revenue officer, Peacock, said: “This exclusive Premier League programming is an exciting addition to our live sports content on Peacock Premium, and we are thrilled to continue delivering our best-in-class Premier League coverage to NBCUniversal linear television customers as well as new Peacock subscribers.”
