LiveScore to integrate free live streams of Serie A and Primeira Liga games into its app.
Real-time sports updates and results service LiveScore is launching a free live football streaming service after revealing its plans to become “a major new sports streaming platform”.
LiveScore has secured live streaming rights for all remaining Serie A matches this season after coming to an agreement with UK rights holder Premier Sports. It has also gained rights to live stream a third of the remaining games in Portugal’s Primeira Liga.
The free live streams of these matches are being integrated into the LiveScore iOS and Android apps, through a partnership with OTT specialist StreamAMG.
Premier Sports remains exclusive UK and Ireland broadcast TV partner for both the Primeira Liga and Serie A.
Ric Leask, marketing director, LiveScore, said: “We’re excited to celebrate the return of football by providing live free-to-air streaming on LiveScore for the very first time. Serie A and Primeira Liga are two of the most popular and keenly followed European leagues among our two million monthly users within the UK and Ireland.”
