Two-weeks of classic Wimbledon coverage will replace Wimbledon 2020 on the BBC.
The BBC is to host 50+ hours of classic Wimbledon content from 29 June, to replace the cancelled Wimbledon 2020 tournament.
Every weeknight from 8pm, BBC2 will serve up Wimbledon archive material, hosted by Sue Barker. She will be joined by Tim Henman and Boris Becker in the studio, with John McEnroe and Martina Navratilova joining via video link.
Tennis fans can also get involved via online polls, quizzes and with the opportunity to send in their attempts at trick shots for review.
On top of this, a show called Wimbledon Rewind will air from 1.45pm each weekday, hosted by Clare Balding. The three-hour programme will re-run some of Wimbledon’s most memorable matches, including the women’s 1969 final between Ann Jones and Billie Jean King; Boris Becker v Kevin Curren in 1985; the men’s final between Goran Ivanisevic and Andre Agassi in 1992; and the women’s 2012 final between Serena Williams and Agnieszka Radwanska.
The first archive re-run will begin on 28 June (starting at 12:05pm on BBC2) with the epic men’s final from Wimbledon 2019.
There are also additional one-off shows, including Andy Murray’s Greatest Hits, where Sue Barker looks back at Murray’s remarkable career and shows clips of some of his greatest Wimbledon matches. This airs on 4 July at 1.15pm and 5 July at 2pm on BBC1.
BBC1 is also showing Wimbledon: The Greatest Final, counting down to the best ever women’s and men’s Wimbledon finals, on 11 July at 1.15pm and 12 July at 2pm.
Furthermore, BBC1 will also air documentary One Day (12 July, 7pm), looking back at last year’s five-hour men’s final between Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer, coupled with the moment the England cricket team sealed victory against New Zealand in the Cricket World Cup.
As well as linear TV coverage, the BBC Sport website will live stream footage and host a series of votes, quizzes and features. As part of this, tennis fans can have their say in selecting the top 10 Wimbledon finals of all time.

Incredible victories, crushing defeats and expert comment and opinions from our tennis teams will combine for a fortnight of entertainment.”
