Popular scores app aims to become a major sports streaming service.
Sports scores app LiveScore is working with OTT specialist StreamAMG to add live football streaming to its website and app. The platform will host live matches and on-demand content from football clubs and media outlets, and says it will become “a major new sports streaming platform.”
LiveScore has an audience of 56m+ active users across 200 territories, and covers many different leagues and competitions. It currently provides live commentary, ball-tracking and in-play statistics, and is LaLiga’s official scoring partner.
StreamAMG has been brought in to augment LiveScore with a video service that’s integrated into the app and website.
Rob Brown, head of LiveScore TV at LiveScore Group, said: “StreamAMG’s extensive experience in sports streaming technology and our shared ambition for video innovation makes them a perfect fit for LiveScore. We’re looking forward to working closely with the team on the development of our soon-to-launch live streaming service which we hope will prove hugely popular with users.”
Hugo Sharman, chief executive officer at StreamAMG added: “LiveScore will emerge as a major player in the streaming of live sports content. This platform has huge potential and we’re delighted to have agreed this long-term partnership.”
