The three-day event went out live over the weekend. The channel’s next live tennis is scheduled for later this month.
LA-based Tennis Channel has broadcast live coverage of the three-day men’s tennis event, UTR Pro Match Series, which took place over the weekend.
The tournament, staged in West Palm Beach, Florida, featured two top-10 ranked American players. It was held at a private court without spectators or public access, and consisted entirely of singles matches.
Players provided their own drinks and towels, and used their own set of marked balls during the match.
The broadcasts have been made in partnership with Ross Mobile Productions (RMP), Ross Video’s mobile productions division.
The next live tennis for the channel will be a women’s event on 22-24 May with three top-10 Americans.
RMP general manager Stephen Repass, said: “It’s been a tough couple of months for sports fans everywhere. We have all missed the entertainment, excitement, and camaraderie of live sports, so I’m pleased we’re in a position to help kickstart the recovery and bring some live action to tennis fans around the world. I suspect it’s going to be a long time before we’re back to anything resembling ‘normal’, and we’re taking every possible precaution, but every event like this must be a cause for celebration and optimism.”
